Cookies and Browser Storage
The supplied editorial pages do not need advertising cookies, analytics cookies or persistent storage to function.
What these terms mean
Cookies are small pieces of data a website can ask a browser to retain and send with later requests. Local storage is a separate browser mechanism that can retain data for a site without automatically sending it with each page request. Session storage is normally limited to a browser tab’s session. These mechanisms should not be confused with ordinary browser caching of photographs, scripts and styles.
What the editorial code uses
| Feature | Persistent storage | Behaviour |
|---|---|---|
| Navigation and scroll reveals | None | Temporary page state only. |
| Contact composer | No site-managed storage | Text is prepared in browser memory. |
| Copy Text | Device clipboard | Only after you choose the control. |
| Download Text | A local downloaded file | Only after you request a download. |
| Advertising and analytics | Not implemented | No such service is included in the editorial code. |
The script supplied with these pages does not read or write cookies, local storage or session storage. A clipboard entry or a downloaded message is not a cookie. Your browser may offer its own form restoration, autofill or caching features.
Deployment-level consent controls
A publishing platform may add a separate consent panel or necessary infrastructure features when the site is deployed. Those are outside the editorial page script. If a consent panel appears, use its controls and accompanying disclosures to understand the actual categories, providers and retention periods.
Optional tracking should not be activated before any consent required by applicable law. Declining optional processing should not prevent access to these static editorial guides. This page does not claim a particular consent-cookie name or expiry that has not been established by the deployed platform.
Managing your choices
You can inspect, block or clear cookies and site storage in your browser’s privacy settings. Clearing stored preferences may cause a separately supplied consent panel to ask again. Blocking all cookies can affect other websites and any deployment features that genuinely depend on them.
If the deployed platform provides preference controls, use them to change a recorded choice. Browser-level deletion removes stored data but does not necessarily communicate a withdrawal to an unrelated external service. For a concern about this site’s behaviour, email [email protected] with the page and a description, without including sensitive browsing data.
External websites
Following a manufacturer reference takes you to a different site with its own storage and consent practices. This publication cannot change those settings. Read Your Data for information about normal page requests, hosting and email correspondence.
